The U23 Women delivered a thrilling race, with @_moniquehalter_ securing 2nd after an intense final lap. @lara_liehni just missed the podium in 6th, followed by @chiara.soler in 8th and @sirin.staedler in 10th — four #thoemusakrosyoungstars in the top ten!

A weekend full of highs and setbacks at the European Championships in Portugal: @chiaramettier opened strong with a Top 10 finish in the Junior women‘s XCC but was forced to abandon the XCO after a crash. @_nicolashalter_ showed his usual fast start and held a strong position in the top 6 before fading slightly to finish 11th, while @romanobike with breathing problems had to pull out. @_moniquehalter_ fought back impressively from a difficult start and was in podium position before a flat tire in the final lap pushed her to P4.

Strong team performance in Andorra 🇦🇩

Friday’s Short Track kicked things off with all four of our U23 women qualifying in the Top 40. @_moniquehalter_ powered to P9, followed by @sirin.staedler (P18), @chiara.soler (P27), and @lara_liehni (P31). In the men’s race, @_nicolashalter_ held a front-row position throughout and sprinted to an impressive 3rd place.

Sunday’s XCO brought even more action. After a crash in the first corner, @_moniquehalter_ had to fight her way back from the very end of the field – and did so in remarkable fashion, crossing the line in 2nd place. @chiara.soler delivered a strong performance to finish 13th, while @sirin.staedler rode in the Top 15 for most of the race before fading slightly to 21st. @lara_liehni wasn’t satisfied with her ride and ended the day in 26th.

In the afternoon, the U23 men took on the challenging course. @_nicolashalter_ used his front-row start to launch early attacks and quickly settled into the chasing group behind the leader. In the penultimate lap, he surged with the fastest U23 lap of the day – also the 5th fastest among the Elite men – and secured 2nd place. @lorishaettenschwiler , starting from the back with bib 66, impressed with a brilliant race and crossed the line in 18th – a career-best result for him! 🤘🏽

6x Silver in Savognin – A Championship Weekend of Emotions

Two intense days of racing at the 🇨🇭(and 🇱🇮) Nationals brought silver medals, personal breakthroughs, and unforgettable moments for our team.

🏁 New history made: For the first time, U23 XCC champions were officially crowned – and we were right in the mix.
🥈 @_moniquehalter_ and @_nicolashalter_ both claimed double silver in XCC and XCO.
🥈 @romanobike secured double silver in the Liechtenstein National Champs (Elite).
🔥 @lorishaettenschwiler just missed the podium with P4 in Friday’s XCC, while @chiara.soler powered to P5 in Saturday’s XCO.

It was a weekend full of grit and growth – and a special moment for @svensommer06 , who returned to the paddock after heart surgery to support his teammates in the tech zone. 💪

@lara_liehni was also in podium position in the XCO race, but was knocked back by a crash in the final lap, finishing in P8. @sirin.staedler took 9th place in the XCC and 11th in the XCO. @chiaramettier finished P7 and P12 in the junior women races.

🖤 This weekend was overshadowed by the tragic passing of Danilo Cappellari, long-time staff member and heart of the @thoemusmaxon team. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. We raced with heavy hearts – and with Danilo in our minds.
